Power for Parkinson’s is a nonprofit organization that we are always so thrilled to work with! They provide free exercise and singing classes to the Parkinson’s community, both in the Austin area and globally through online video classes. Their Musical Collage fundraiser is held annually and we had the privilege to help coordinate this wonderful event in 2019. The goal of this event is to feature local Austin artists and to help the organization maintain and expand its efforts in providing resources for the Parkinson’s community, and we were so excited to contribute to this cause by helping to coordinate this fun evening!
This event definitely classifies as a music marathon — it featured 10 bands and 3 stages to perform on! The action rotated around the space as the bands played in the round and on one stage at a time.
The Austin Public Library provided such a great, open space plenty suited to fit a large group and accommodate so many different elements! We focused on that open concept and worked the space to fit the three stages and plenty of seating. We incorporated purple in the linens, lighting, and floral elements and included some pops of pink! The tables were accessorized with collections of blooms that served as the perfect embellishments and brought some freshness to the space!
Lots of music and activity often leads to big appetites! Austin Catering helped curate a fabulous buffet menu for this fundraiser that fueled our guests in their dancing and mingling!
Along with bar/bat mitzvahs, other milestone birthdays, and corporate functions, we can cater to the event needs of nonprofit organizations a love working with them on their respective causes.
